This beloved event paying tribute to the Mexican tamal has become a true cultural touchstone for the community since its inception. Now famous across the country, the festival boasts a large variety of live entertainment, car shows, relaxing night shopping, and of course, tamales.

Originally an event meant to celebrate the end of that year’s annual date harvest, the Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival now features carnival rides, exciting entertainment, unique and delicious food, and endless date treats.

Promoting arts and entertainment for the community, the Indio Performing Arts Center stands as a monument to the city’s dedication to cultivating creativity. Operates both as a venue for visiting entertainment/talent groups and as an in-house producer/showrunner.
